So random, March/April '26

We begin this round on the evening of February 28th.  It was warm, I'd spent some time redressing some of my dolls, and these two had spring fever.  Rebecca Madeleine is on the left, and her friend is the one and only Joyita Emilia.
As fine as the weather was that day, we ALL had spring fever!  I'd just gotten both girls in their spring dresses (seen here and here), and they looked cute together.

March 4th, the first severe day of the season.  I took Lady to work with me, but ultimately nothing happened.
Early March was a time for baby dolls here at Casa Pizarro.  From left to right, these are Lady, a Belly Button Baby that I've chosen to name "Colin," and a Magic Nursery baby that I'm calling "Elias."
Belly Button Baby is one that I saw on Tam's blog.  There were several variants, with one being this little red-haired, brown-eyed boy.  Belly Button Baby is like those collapsing toys (my sister loved them), where you'd push a button and they'd go limp.  Same sort of gimmick with Colin, though I can't show it very well.

Colin is strung pretty tightly so he can't sit, but he can lounge.  He's a ham!
As for Elias, he's got an eye color that I've not seen on a Magic Nursery doll.  They're...hazel or green or a combination of the two.  They look green in the pictures.
I make a big deal about this because Afro-American Cabbage Patch Kids of the early nineties had ZERO variation in eye color.  Their eyes were brown and that was that.  Magic Nursery dolls of color DO have variations in eye color, as Elias and Miss Emily's Shyla show.  Oh, and remember how these dolls have plastic bellybuttons that can vary in shape?  Elias has an outie (remember that all Cabbies have outies too).  So far, Lina is my only Magic Nursery doll with an innie.

March 6th, 8:15 p.m. local time.  All was quiet in the Bootheel, but tornadoes were hitting far to the west and I was keeping a sharp eye on the radar.  March of '26 was moderately stormy, but not as bad as March of '25 was.  Anyway, one of my new dolls offered to keep an eye on two of my smallest dolls.
Like Olivia Hope before her, Audrina is proving to be a natural with babies.  Or she is with Hong Kong Honey and Libra Baby.  Audrina is a Juku Couture doll, by the way, and I do plan on reviewing her soon.  With her joints and inset eyes she's kinda like a tiny LIV doll without wigged hair.  I wonder if her shoes are bigger on the inside, LOL!

March 12.  It's been awhile since I talked about Magic Mixie Pixlings, and the scuttlebutt on Reddit is that Moose Toys has pulled the plug on these.  No time like the present to snap one up...or two.
By pure dumb luck I found both Amber (left) and Catlyn being sold together, unencumbered by those clunky bottles.  The consensus on Reddit is that these dolls could've been a hit without all the gimmicks (just like their cousins the Capsule Chix) and I think that indeed is true.  The bottle is a single-trick pony and takes up a lot of space, and there's a danger of it leaking chemicals everywhere (bleach-water, probably, but still).  The dolls themselves are great!  Oh, and as a bonus, the seller shipped my dolls in a Chewy box.  Mama and I are big Chewy fans.  If y'all have animals and don't want to run to Wal-Mart for everything, Chewy.com's shipping is very prompt and the prices are reasonable.

March 12th was also the night I put my last Monster High post together, and I got an outtake.
Budget dolls or no, Frankie and Draculaura know how to look adorable.

March 13th.  We were facing another stormy weekend and I was nervous, so I grabbed two of my soft dolls to hug.  My Newborn Nancy and Lady are who I grabbed.
Still no batteries for My Newborn Nancy yet.  I remember I'd said that I wanted to try her out.

March 17th.  Rockin' redheads.  From left, Joyita Emilia, Hannah Valerie, and Rosanna Claire.
Hannie loves the camera, LOL!

March 22nd.  I was dying to see how Joyita Emilia looked in blue.
She ended up looking not too shabby!

March 27th.  It was chilly and windy again, not twenty-four hours after parts of the Midwest had tornadoes and hail.  I promptly bundled up my newest arrival.
Her name is Baby Annabell, and she's by Zapf Creation.  She'll be getting a review in...<pauses to look>...late May, if all goes well.

March 29th.  By the end of the day it was warm enuff for a change of clothes.
Annabell is a big girl, so finding clothes for her may not be the easiest.  But so far I've lucked out.  And yes, it seriously warmed up that fast.  That's life in the Missouri Bootheel.

April 2nd.  In preparation for Annabell's post I had out My Newborn Nancy and Baby All Gone, or as I call them, Nancy and Mary.
Nancy is a Tyco doll, Mary is a Kenner doll, and they don't look a lot alike, but I'd have happily called them sisters as a kid.  Sisters by different companies, one could say.

April 15th.  Taxes were safely in, my hip was semi-behaving, and a lovely breeze was coming through the storm door's window.  I belong to a Failbook group that goes pretty heavy on the reborn dolls, so I trotted out my iCradle doll, Sandra.
I'd just gotten a new pacifier clip for Sandra, since her magnet doesn't hold her pacifier tightly.  The cord is stiff, but it keeps the binky from falling in the floor, which it did at least twice when I'd move Sandra around.

The next evening I swapped Sandra out for Geneva, my Real Baby.  Mama has named Geneva as a favorite of hers, and I've been pretty open about my fondness for her too.
I really feel my physical limitations when handling Geneva.  She's a big baby and I have to hold onto Barbie Walker with both hands, so I have to drape Geneva awkwardly across Barbie Walker's crosspiece...or ask for help, which I loathe.  Mama is also on a walker and can't carry much more than I can, and I want Uncle Man-Child to keep his lousy mitts off my stuff (don't worry, I leave his crap alone too).  Anyway, springtime and that cute duck dress just beg for a picture of Geneva outside in the sunshine, and without a good carrier I just can't do it.  But then again, there was no sunshine that evening, just rain and some thunder.  The week of the twelfth was very violent in parts of the country, but this time the Bootheel made it out okay.

April 20th, bright, sunny, and breezy.  The Dolly Den (Failbook group) asked for curly hair, and I obliged.
River Song (left) and Alana.  Alana desperately needs a hair bow.

That same day my Zapf Creation Little Princess doll arrived, after quite a journey from abroad.
Cinderella's whole mouth is askew, not just her paint!  I can live with that though, since these dolls are out of production and aren't the easiest to find.

April 24th.  I'd received a steroid shot and was feeling good enuff to drag some of the kids outside.
From left, Martina (Furga), Cassandra (Italocremona), and Ilaria (Furga).

Twice this past week I've been afraid that I'd go flying over the rainbow, but it all came out okay in the end.  Unfortunately I've got a feeling that this summer is going to be long, hot, and dry.  I hope all is well with y'all!

Cheers,

Are y'all psychic?

Okay, first things first.  I'm still doing six-day work weeks and my rear is dragging, so it took a few days to throw this post together.  But here it is, my Galentine's Day box from Treesa!  Treesa told me that she has a Cabbage Patch Kid that she's fixing up for me, but she said that doll needs a little more work.  So seeing this doll was a shock!  Meet Alexandria Florida, y'all!
Treesa picked out some papers to send (Alex's original papers are long gone), and I think she chose well.
I can't remember if I said this here on the blog, but I've been wanting a redhead with the #2 head for a long time.  I saw one on that video about the Cabbage Patch Kids beauty pageant, and the combo just kinda stuck with me.  Kinda makes me wonder if Treesa is psychic!  Apparently Alex is a big coincidence, as Treesa ran into her at a thrift store and thought she might be a Jesmar with those freckles.  Alex could indeed pass for a Jesmar, but she's your regular Coleco Kid.  From 1983, no less!  I wonder if Alex was one of the dolls that adults battled each other for back in the day?  LOL, anyway, I figure that the mischief in my room will increase once Alex meets Matthew Tommie.  #2 heads can be tricky, especially in pairs or groups, kinda like My Twinns with the Ariel head are!  Treesa reports that the dress is from an Etsy shop that I usually like, but the inside edges are kinda raggy and neither she nor I are thrilled with that, but I've got plenty of other cute little outfits that Alex can wear.  By the way, someone loved Alex and loved her hard at one point, because she's got a rent in her foot that has been mended.  A God-given tattoo is what I like to call scars, be they on dolls or on humans.
<sings off-key>  And I have loved you in a tame way, and I have loved you wild!  LOL, what a fantastic little Cabbie, though!  Alex would've made a fine present by herself, but she didn't travel alone.  She has her own little Cabbage Patch Kid...or I'm gonna pretend as such.
I'm also going to pretend that he's a boy.  Tufties can be either/or, but I like boy dolls so that's that (I also like tufties, LOL).  He's really cute.  I think I'll name him Jeremy Kyle, after the British talk show host that used to split my sides.  Jeremy belongs to the Magic Nursery cradle/carriage set (hey, I remember that commercial!) and dates from 1998.

The next package hearkens back to a recent post.  I've got Strawberry Shortcake and her little cousin/bestie, Apple Dumplin'.  Apple's pet, Tea Time Turtle, is also here.
Treesa gave me the lovely idea to do a post about Strawberry Shortcake clones and knockoffs, just as I have done with the Cabbage Patch Kids.  I think I'll do that, 'cause there's plenty of 'em!  As a huge coincidence, I have Apple's hat buried somewhere.

I really got a kick out of this one, a Build-a-Bear piece.  He's a miniature Floppy Kitty!
Floppy Kitty is adorable in any size, but then I would think so because I'm biased towards orange tabbies, LOL.  My Adric is an orange tabby.  Y'all know those God-given tattoos I talked about above?  Adric has inflicted a few on me (accidentally, I swear!).  Adric is a sweet cat but he's also horrendously clumsy, and he tore the livin' sh!t out of my arm while falling off the kitchen table one time.  Anyway, Treesa included some other Build-a-Bear stuff, in the form of these shoes.  Shoes are always welcome.
These socks aren't Build-a-Bear socks, but...well, footwear.  They're baby socks and will fit my larger baby dolls.  They're soft!
Then there's Dudley, another Wendy's Furskin Bear.  I think these are so cute!
Fans didn't go as ga-ga for Furskins as they did Cabbage Patch Kids, but these bears do have fans.  I like these little ones a lot because they're easier to store but have the same cute factor.

I had a laugh at Treesa's label on these items.  She wrote "Baby doll accessories...I think."  Suits me.
I love that butterfly!  The items above would suit themselves to playing Dolly Doctor, should I ever go that way.

This little mermaid was made by Simba and would make a nice companion for my Sea Wee.  Remember the Sea Wee, Treesa?  I think she's so cute!
Treesa included some more carrots for Justine-Marie's horse...
...and some goodies for my dolls to bicker over.  That cake looks nummy!
Lately Treesa also has been wrapping some items so that they're kinda like blind bags.  I like that.  I don't expect Treesa to do that with EVERYTHING she sends, because that would be a ridiculous amount of work, but one or two little things is just right.  She did that with these cute conversation hearts.
Fun fact about me:  I despise the taste of conversation hearts, but I think they make great decorations!  These are also the perfect size to be candy for my American Girls.

Also wrapped up in paper was this little feller, who would fit in the palm of my hand.
But he's not just any baby, though.  He's a zodiac baby, and very fittingly, he's a Libra.  He's so cute!
Lastly, Treesa included a book.
It has some tips for writing stories about one's American Girl dolls (or other dolls), which will come in handy because I like doing that for my dolly children.  I'm not gonna lie, though...a lot of my dolls' backstories go further than science vs. math or favorite cake flavors.  My American Girls deal with bullies, religious differences, family conflict, and budding romance.  My ball-jointed dolls all have backstories that are downright dark at times.  But still, cake flavors and school subjects are a good place to start.  It should also be remembered that my AG characters are mostly older than the nine or ten years that the historical characters are.  My dolls, my rules.

Well Treesa, that box was another banger!  Alexandria Florida, Jeremy Kyle, the mermaid, and the Libra baby are making friends and finding their place in my dolly world, and the rest of the items are cute.  I especially like those rubbery carrots, LOL.  I like the way vinyl feels.  Where did you find the Libra baby, by the way?  He's interesting.

Love,

How does your (strawberry) garden grow?

I've received some nice gifts from far-off friends, and I've received some nice gifts from close-by friends.  Yesterday it was the close-by kind.  Ms. P paid the library a visit, and in her hand she had a bag...OF VINTAGE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE DOLLS!!!  She told me that her grandkids didn't really appreciate 'em, and we see where they ended up!  There's five of 'em all told, and one is a duplicate of something I've got.  That one is Orange Blossom, with Marmalade in tow
IDC, she's welcome anyway.  I happen to be very fond of Orange Blossom.  My other Orange does still have her Marmalade, by the way; he and Lime Chiffon's pet Parfait are in storage, but they're alive and well.

I was particularly pleased to see Huckleberry Pie, as he wasn't a character I paid much attention to.  He's also got his pupper, Pupcake.
Lemon Merengue is here, and that also pleases me because I love lemon anything.  Lemon is unfortunately missing her mascot, a frog named Frappe, but I can replace him if I so choose.  I love that yellow hair, such a happy, bright shade!
This one is new territory for me as I've never owned any of the smaller characters.  I had to look up this girl's name, Apricot.  She too has her pet, named Hopsalong.
Lastly, TA-DA!!!  It's Strawberry Shortcake herself!  I've got a nice-sized collection of these dolls, including knockoffs, but I didn't have Strawberry.  This one is a first-issue doll and thus wouldn't have had a pet.  Her hands are flat.
Definitely a nice haul, one that cheered me up tremendously on a cold, snowy day like yesterday.  Yep, the snow is still hanging around, thanks to the layer of sleet we got at the tail end of that storm.  It's supposed to warm up today, though.  ANYWAY, these five dolls, plus Lime Chiffon and my other Orange Blossom, plus Sorbet, Angel Cake, Tea Blossom, Li'l Gumdrop and Li'l Lollypops, and Raspberry Herbert, and I've got a nice Strawberry Shortcake collection.  Oh yes, and Pineberry.  Can't forget her!  Will that be all???  No, probably not.  The Bandai and Playmates lines included one-off characters that I like quite a bit, and I still want a Kenner Raspberry Tart.  But this is a fine haul, and I thank Ms. P once again for such a nice gift.

Hugs,

Dolls that y'all remember (and a couple'a rabbit trails)

It's another one of those times, a long gap between regularly scheduled posts where I discuss dolls that don't belong to me but strike my fancy in some way or another.  Or it WAS a long gap when I strung this post together.  I've rescheduled other reviews so many times that November has been (and will continue to be) a busy month here on the blog.  Now...every time I do one of these posts, one of y'all remembers a doll that you or a family member had growing up that WASN'T in that post.  Some of these were new to me and some weren't, so here's what y'all came up with.  I'm going in no special order here.

BABY CHECK-UP
COMPANY:  Kenner
YEARS OF PRODUCTION:  1993

One of Treesa's sisters owned Baby Check-Up, and this little doll sounds like my type!  Even at my age I love playing Dolly Doctor, and as I'll discuss eventually I did when I was small.  I personally never owned this one, but I do remember her commercial and how her thermometer had a smiley face and a frowny face to determine the doll's well-being.  Yep, this one's another sickie like Baby Ah-Choo and Li'l Sniffles!  If Baby Check-Up is indeed feeling poorly then she gets medicine...but not in a spoon!  This doll gets her meds from a dropper, which in retrospect is probably the best way to medicate a very small child.  Shudder, I associate medicine drops with having an ear infection!  I don't remember much about having that ear infection (I was two), but I do remember that horrid medicine!  In addition to her meds and her thermometer Baby Check-Up comes with a stethoscope, and I think one could listen to her heart whenever they wanted, whether the doll was sick or not.  The doll herself was a soft-bodied doll with permanently attached clothes like My Lickety Treats has, and she could be either a black doll or a blonde with violet eyes.  She had three friends, Puppy Check-Up, Kitty Check-Up, and Newborn Baby Check-Up, and together the four made up a line of toys kinda like the Li'l Miss bunch.  Newborn freaks me out a little because she has to have X-rays done!  It's never good when anyone needs an X-ray, but it's particularly not good when a very small child needs one.  But then again, accidents and illnesses happen to everyone in real life, so why not with a baby doll?

By the way, look at Baby Check-Up's body shape.  It looks a lot like the one that Baby Needs-a-Name has.

They're both Kenner dolls, so that makes sense.

BABY GET WELL
COMPANY:  Tyco
YEAR OF PRODUCTION:  1992

Christa from Newfoundland shared her memories of this doll with me.  Her Nan was suffering from Alzheimer's disease and kept asking for her baby (Christa's mama, grown by then).  So the family got her a Baby Get Well doll to help, and Christa says that Nan loved it!  The doll was subsequently handed down to Christa's mother and then Christa herself, and she still works.  The gimmick is highly similar to that of Make Me Better Baby, right down to the coughing and the glowing cheeks.  She'll cough and sneeze and legit say she doesn't feel good, and as is often the case with these dolls a dose of pretend medicine does the trick.

Christa's memory made me think of my own grandmother's decline, and some of the people I met while I was visiting her (remember that she spent her last year of life in a nursing home).  There was another lady who carried a very pretty baby doll around, and when I complimented her on her doll she replied "Oh, she's not a doll!  She's my baby!"  I made a note of that and adjusted my speech accordingly the next time I saw the lady.  She was a sweetie, and every time I saw her she'd lost a little more of herself, though she still knew who her baby was.  It was sad to watch that, but then that's a reality for some folks.

BABY BUBBLES
COMPANY:  Ideal
YEARS OF PRODUCTION:  1989-1990

Treesa mentioned this one as one of her own childhood favorites, and imagine my delight when she said that Baby Bubbles is an Ideal doll!  Ideal dolls will always hold a special place in my heart.  Baby Bubbles would have to be one of Ideal's later jobs, as Mattel bought Ideal in 1997.  As to the doll herself, Baby Bubbles drools and blows bubbles with her mouth, like all babies do.  I know I LOVED blowing spit bubbles, especially after I'd been crying, as the bubbles were always the biggest then.  Now...I have a doll, one of the Cry Babies, who has to have her head filled with water before she can cry effectively.  Thus I wonder where Baby Bubbles gets her water.  I wondered that same thing with these two, Take Care of Me Twins.
One burped and started to drool, and the other developed a runny nose after sneezing.  The only way I can explain it is that all three of these dolls took a bottle beforehand (like Bless You Baby Tender Love does), and the bottle in turn provided the liquid one requires to bubble or drool or snot around.  Baby Bubbles's commercial seems to imply just that.  I don't know if Baby Bubbles came as a doll of color or not, as all the examples I found were white, so if y'all know better please let me know.

FLOWER MAGIC MARY
COMPANY:  Tyco
YEARS OF PRODUCTION:  1995

File under "glitzy toddler doll."  Treesa's sister who owned Baby Check-Up (I think you called her "A" in the comments, Treesa) also owned Flower Magic Mary.  This doll apparently has a gimmick similar to that of Li'l Miss Magic Jewels, only with flowers.  One "watered" her dress with a watering can, and flowers would "bloom."  Now that I think of it, I do remember this doll, and particularly the flowers that materialized out of nowhere and stuck to the doll...or to me.  I thought it was an interesting idea.  Regarding ethnic diversity, Flower Magic Mary could be either blonde, brunette, or Afro-American, and all three of 'em are cute.
I love the big nineties hat.  Overall that's a lot of pink, but this doll is still really cute. I have to admit that I'm tempted to find her...no wait, I have her!  Treesa sent me her sister's doll!
What a treasure she is!

MY PRETTY TOPSY TAIL
COMPANY:  Tyco
YEARS OF PRODUCTION:  1993-1994

Another glitzy toddler doll!  This doll and the next are the result of a rabbit trail triggered by Flower Magic Mary.  Someone had asked Ghost of the Doll about the identity of her childhood doll, a medium-sized poppet with long blonde hair, a pink and silver dress, and a tool that could style her hair.  Flower Magic Mary was one of the guesses, as was My Pretty Topsy Tail.  Neither Mary nor Topsy turned out to be the one, but I was intrigued because I'd never heard of Topsy.  Topsy is obviously a hair play doll, and she came with styling tools and do-dads to achieve and decorate various hairstyles, including one tool that's similar to the one that Featherageous Jade used back in the day.  Shucks, I hope Topsy's tool isn't as hard to use as Jade's was!  I don't know who the doll in the image belongs to, by the way; both Xanadu and someone on Ghost's forum used it, so I am too.  Xanadu owned Topsy Tail at one point, by the way, and I have to say that I think poor ol' Topsy looks a little possessed.

TWIST 'N' STYLE TIFFANY
COMPANY:  Hasbro
YEARS OF PRODUCTION:  1994

Yet another glitzy toddler doll.  The doll in Ghost's forum turned out to be this one, Twist 'n' Style Tiffany.  Tiffany's gimmick was sort of a mashup of Flower Magic Mary's and My Pretty Topsy Tail's.  Her hair could be done up in infinite ways like Topsy's, but she also has a hair drier and flowers that go in her hair, similar to Mary.  The drier doesn't apply the flowers the same way that Mary's watering can does, but the similarity is there.  And get this:  the hair drier is a braiding tool!  Beads also made an appearance, so there were a lot of styles one could conjure up.

I can't 100% tell from grainy screenshots, but it looks like Tiffany's black and white selves have different faces.  Big surprise, I like the black doll better.  Don't Call Me Doll also made note of the black variant; for most of the dolls he'd discussed in that video, only the white variant appeared in commercials
My Size Barbie was a thing during Twist 'n' Style Tiffany's run, and these big Barbies were notorious for having black variations that were "dipped."  What you had was your usual white doll, white features and all, and then she was dipped in paint of the appropriate color...I think that's how it went.  The result was a doll with black coloration (they had the appropriate hair rooted in) but a nose and a mouth like the white doll.  Not an ugly doll by any means, but not very racially appropriate either, especially considering that Mattel's Asha and Nichelle molds were very much available for sizing up by 1994.  Anyway, Tiffany is clearly not a dipped white doll, and I'm glad of that.  Unfortunately I couldn't find the black version of Tiffany.
Moon Girl was a bad, bad girl buying this one when surgery was by then a possibility (it's pretty much a given now), but I think this doll's so cute!  There's a learning curve in getting her hair styled, but as my doll shows, it can be done.

PEPPERMINT ROSE
COMPANY:  Mattel and American Greetings
YEARS OF PRODUCTION:  1992

Jeanie remembered these little dolls.  Peppermint and rose are not two flavors that I'd think to combine, but there's a reason for the odd combination.  Peppermint Rose and company were perfume dolls that came twenty-four of these...Perfume Petals, twelve for one scent and twelve for another, that could be mixed with water to make perfume of sorts.  The dolls themselves followed a similar path with two scented skirts that could be layered or worn alone.  There were four characters, and they have an interesting anatomy, sharing bodies with Skipper dolls of the era and head molds with another Mattel doll, Lady Lovelylocks.  Indeed, Peppermint Rose and Lady Lovelylocks make a cute pair and...well, I think they could pass for sisters.  Regarding the line themselves, the dolls are okay.  I'm glad that a black friend was included, and I'm glad that Vanilla Daisy has unabashedly red hair, but I wish Lemon Kiss Lily's ensemble incorporated more yellow than it did.  Piddling little complaint, I know, but when you think of lemons, you think yellow, am I right or am I right?  Still, I like the concept behind these, and the possibility that they can share clothes with Skipper.  I wonder if their necks are fragile like Skipper's?  Veni Vidi Dolli warns that Lemon Kiss Lily's shoes are fragile, so maybe these dolls' heads pop off easily too...or maybe not!  I dunno.  I hope not!  I am tempted, however, to seek out one of these dolls and compare her to my other American Greetings child...er, children.
<show Orange and Lime>
Pretty different from Peppermint Rose, though no less adorable.  Oh yes, there were also supposed to be petal refills and extra outfits to be had, but Ghost of the Doll couldn't find any evidence that they were ever produced.  Bummer if they weren't, because those extra outfits were cute.  There were plushies and pets that made it to production, though.

BABY THAT-A-WAY
COMPANY:  Mattel
YEAR OF PRODUCTION:  1974

Barb the Evil Genius says that her sister owned this one and dang, she cute!  This little stinkertoy is a crawler, kinda like some of my dolls are walkers.  As the box itself put it, this doll crawls around getting into mischief, the way babies WILL do if they're not watched.  She came in white and black versions, and she reminds me a lot of one of my favorite seventies Mattel dolls, Baby Come Back.  Only Baby Come Back's eyes are brown.
Baby That-a-Way's eyes are blue and are glancing to the side, making her look that much more impish.  I love this doll!  Don't need, but Baby That-a-Way is adorable!

OOPSIE DAISY
COMPANY:  Irwin
YEARS OF PRODUCTION:  1988, 1997

I didn't know this doll was around as long as she was!  Treesa's sister K owned this one, and I remember the commercials.  She's a crawler like Baby That-a-Away, but she sometimes falls while crawling.  Yep, that can be done!  I know from personal experience.  Daisy's hands will slip out from under her, and she'll fall and cry for her mama before picking herself back up.  I remember this doll freaking me out a little when I was a kid, because I don't know of any baby that crawls on its knees with its feet sticking up.  Usually their feet drag.  I like this doll, though.  Like so many dolls that I like her gimmick is pretty simple, and y'all can't tell from that screenshot, but Daisy has a sweet face.  Unfortunately...guess where this poor doll's batteries go.  Right up the ol' rear end.  I guess when one stops to think about it, it makes sense for a doll's batteries to go in their butts.  The butt is a nice, wide part of the body that is easily concealed by clothes, and batteries take up a fair amount of room.  Button Daisy's onesie back up and no one sees the batteries or the compartment.  But just the same, I'm glad these are dolls and not real little children!

Hey, I just thought of something.  If you play with Oopsie Daisy or Baby That-a-Way at night, are they night crawlers?

LOL,
RagingMoon1987
