AG Spotlight: Joss Kendrick

I finally made it!  The Moon Girl thought for awhile that she'd never get me.

FULL NAME:  Jocelyn Elizabeth Kendrick

NICKNAMES:  Everyone but everyone calls me "Joss," and Lindsey sometimes calls me "Roadrunner."

BIRTHDAY:  April 14th

HOMETOWN:  Fountain Valley, California

HEAD MOLD:  Joss...yay, I get a head mold named after me!

HAIR COLOR:  Brown

EYE COLOR:  Brown

OTHER DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:  Does wearing a hearing aid count?

FAVORITE COLOR:  Orange

THINGS I LIKE:  Surfing, riding anything with wheels, cheerleading, dogs (especially bulldogs), long walks on beaches, summertime, ice pops and ice cream, fireflies, Legos, Lilo and Stitch, Sesame Street (Big Bird's my fella!), avocados...AVOCADOS!!!

THINGS I DISLIKE:  My pet peeve is when people either won't face me when they talk, or when they talk loudly when they learn I'm hearing impaired.  Talking loudly doesn't help me one iota.  I also don't like it when people talk too fast, because then it's hard to read their lips.  I also don't like being dropped during cheerleading practice, but if you're a cheerleader being dropped kinda goes with the territory, especially if you're not paying attention.  You hear that, Doremi?

MY CHOICE OF MUSIC:  Anything with a good beat.

PET:  Murph, an English bulldog, but she doesn't live here just yet.

BEST FRIENDS:  My fellow Cali girls Julie, Courtney, and Kailey (I'm the only one of the four California girls that isn't a blonde, LOL).  I also like Marina since she likes to beachcomb and swim, and Kyle because he has a bulldog, and most of my fellow cheerleaders (Justine-Marie, Rita Cheryl, and Zoe).  EVERYONE loves Zoe!

SOMEONE I'D RATHER AVOID:  Doremi can be a mega-prima donna...jeez, does ANYONE like Doremi???  She's never been mean to me, but I don't like her 'tude.  I DO like Lindsey, but she talks so fast that it's hard for me to read her lips.  I in turn feel rude asking her to slow down.  Good thing Molly's usually there to remind her!  Sometimes I feel awkward around Xenia too, since she has to lean in to see if she's facing me properly, but I know she can't help it.  I sometimes act as her eyes, and she acts as my ears.

HOW I CAME HERE:  eBay again!  I was embarrassed since I came naked, but the Moon Girl had that all planned out.

ABOUT ME:  It hasn't been easy adjusting to a place where I can't surf, but the streets are flat so I can at least skateboard.

Too bad it's not really skateboard weather anymore.  It's romp-in-the-leaves weather!

In my downtime I watch kids' programs with Rita Cheryl, though we have different favorites.  She likes Dora the Explorer and Blue's Clues, and I'm a Sesame Street fan to the hilt.  Big Bird for the win!!!

Bert for the win too, for that matter, because he's a nerd.  Nerds are awesome...both the people and the candy.  Don't eat too many Nerds before bedtime, though.  Moon Girl says she did that once and she woke up at two in the morning with the worst heartburn she'd ever had.

Oh, hey, Courtney.

*Side note from Courtney:  Hey, you gonna finish those?

If there's ever candy around, Courtney's gonna know!  She knows I'll happily share.  Anyway, I'm trying to start a collection of stuff like Justine-Marie and Kailey have done, but at the moment I only have two Lego figures.

Kermit the Frog and...I guess that's the Big Bad Wolf, though why he's a Lego figure I'll never know.  He needs the pigs to go with him, LOL.  I need to keep my eyes open for unique figures.

Well, I'm off to skateboard again!  Gotta get the moves in while I can!

Hang ten,
Joss Kendrick

AG Spotlight: Rilla Louise Moultrie

I apologize for my messed hair; it refuses to lie down.

FULL NAME:  Rilla Louise Moultrie

NICKNAMES:  "Rill" and "Mole."  I don't like either one much, but "Mole" really bothers me.  Rita Cheryl calls me that.

WHERE I GOT MY NAME:  I'm named after the girlfriend of a musician the Moon Girl liked, and a county in Illinois.

JUST LIKE YOU NUMBER:  #21

HOMETOWN:  White Plains, New York

HEAD MOLD:  Classic

HAIR COLOR:  Honey blonde

EYE COLOR:  Hazel.  Hazel eyes can vary widely among American Girls, just as they do among people, and indeed my eyes are very different from Marina's.  Marina has a lot of green in her eyes...
...while my eyes are more of a gold shade.

FAVORITE COLORS:  Red and orange

THINGS I LIKE:  Horses and horseback riding, cattle, volleyball, soccer, bouldering, and the outdoors in general, springtime, my naturally curly hair, playing the drums

THINGS I DISLIKE:  Quarrelling with Rita Cheryl, being called "Mole," my naturally curly hair, falling (that happens a lot when one boulders), bullies (they remind me of how bad I used to be),

MY CHOICE IN MUSIC:  Sigh...I like Josh Turner...like, A LOT.

PET:  Garnet, Caroline Abbott's calf
Maaaa!

FAMILY:  Rita Cheryl is my cousin.

BEST FRIENDS:  Silver Bird (we play soccer and climb together), Justine-Marie (we both like horses), and Zoe (because everyone loves Zoe).  I also like Olivia Reese and Chelsea because they're climbers.

SOMEONE I'D RATHER AVOID:  Rita Cheryl, for reasons listed below, and Doremi, because she's a bully.  Justine-Marie says she's not as bad as she seems, but I don't buy it.

HOW I CAME HERE:  eBay again!

ABOUT ME:  I grew up in White Plains, New York, in a family that I thought was close but was actually very dysfunctional.  I used to think money bought everything, but boy, was I wrong!  Unfortunately I learned this too late to salvage my relationship with Rita Cheryl.  She grew up poor and I sadly rubbed it in her face constantly when we were kids.  Understandably, now Rita Cheryl wants nothing to do with me.  Even though I'd love to try and talk things over with her, for now I'm respecting her distance.  When and if she heals, she'll come find me.  And if she doesn't, that's just something I'll have to live with.  Rita Cheryl isn't 100% innocent; sometimes she picks fights, but...well, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, I guess.  I picked plenty of fights too in my day.

Hmmm, what else about me?  Oh yes, I said above that I love to climb.  Trees, rocks, playground equipment, pumpkins, doesn't matter.  Chelsea and Olivia Reese like to join me.
Getting a good view of the house down the street may not sound like much, but when you're a foot and a half tall seeing that far is quite a treat.  That being said, it sure would be nice to be able to hang like Chelsea and Livvie can.  They have flexible knees, so they can do that.  I don't, so I can't.
I make up for it by being a better rock climber than they are.  Last Sunday the Moon Girl took me to the park in Dexter, and there were rocks to climb!  This one was smaller, but it was tough to climb.  The sides went straight up and down.  Notice that I can't stand up straight in this rock, LOL.
By contrast, this rock was much bigger, but it was easy to climb.  Thank goodness, because after my struggles with the first rock I was pretty beat.
There was a birthday party going on while the Moon Girl was taking these pictures, and she saw a little girl carrying a brand-new My Life doll.  I didn't see because my head was turned, but Moon said she had bright pink hair.  She'd probably be Amora, the new hairstylist.  Moon says that Amora may come to live with us one day, since she has unusual hair and unusual eyes.  Bubblegum hair and lilac eyes, to be exact (pardon the bad lighting, the Moon Girl says).
Meh, she's okay, but she's not any better than Airy.

When I'm not climbing trees or rocks or playing soccer I take care of my little heifer, Garnet.  Caroline Abbott has entrusted her to me.
Silver Bird and I have tinkered around with starting up a hobby farm if the band thing doesn't pan out.  She's got the pig and the goat, and now I have the cow.  Oh yes, the band.  Felicity, Zoe, Silver Bird and I are going to try and start a band.  I had a drum set once, but the thing kept falling apart and the Moon Girl chucked it.  Felicity says I should've blown it up like the Who would've done.  I usually remind her that the Who were just as hard on guitars as they were on drums, and that usually shuts her up.  Felicity guards that guitar of hers like it's made out of solid gold.  Sheesh, if we do form a band we'll be the most motley crew since...well, since Motley Crue!

That takes care of me!  See you around!

Love,
Rilla Louise Moultrie

AG Spotlight: Llewellyn Martin

I gotz green hair.  It took forever for the Moon Girl to get my bangs trimmed, too.

FULL NAME:  Priscilla Llewellyn Martin (middle name is pronounced "Lou-Ellen")

WHERE I GOT MY NAME:  I came with the name "Priscilla."  The Moon Girl added the middle and last name.

NICKNAME:  I guess going by my middle name counts.  I just prefer my middle name.  I'll also answer to the shortened form, "Lew."

CUSTOMIZED FROM:  My neck is marked Pleasant Company, so I'm either PC or transitional.  Other than that, I don't know.

BIRTHDAY:  December 11th

HOMETOWN:  Cornelius, North Carolina

HEAD MOLD:  Classic

HAIR COLOR:  Lime green, light yellow, and cyan

EYE COLOR:  Light blue

OTHER DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:  Enhanced lips

FAVORITE COLORS:  Day-Glo anything, especially green

THINGS I LIKE:  Dancing, parties, anything that glows in the dark, black lights, CAKE (!!!), springtime, Frozen, ice skating (it helps wintertime be less...well, winter), Ritalin, coffee (coffee helps more than Ritalin, believe it or not),

THINGS I DISLIKE:  Wintertime (except for ice skating), being sick, sticks in the mud, hail, having ADHD,

MY CHOICE OF MUSIC:  Anything goes except modern pop.  My favorite song is "Funk It," by Brock Berrigan.

PET:  Duchess, a grouchy-looking gray tabby cat.

BEST FRIENDS:  Molly, Doremi, Denise, and Kyle, because they all like to dance, Zoe, because she sings (and because everyone loves Zoe), and Justine-Marie, because she likes Disney stuff.  I'm also close to Robina, Anna, and Briar Rose, Casa del Luna's resident Disney Animator dolls.

SOMEONE I'D RATHER AVOID:  Amanda and Samantha are both too quiet.

HOW I CAME HERE:  I came from Etsy, from a shop called Brandi's Doll Boutique.  Four of my sisters are still available for adoption, including two that are a lot like me.

ABOUT ME:  I'm Casa del Luna's little hippie-dippy girl...sort of.  That title could also go to Julie or Lark, which suits me just fine.  We can all be little hippie-dippy girls together.

Speed of lightning!  Roar of thunder!  Speaking of thunder, the weather was not at all nice last night, as you might can tell from the reflections behind us.  Y'all think I have enough hair?

Lark and Xenia both think they have a lot, but I think I've got 'em both beat!

*Side note from Lark:  Slow down, you crazy child.  You've crammed hippies, the weather, your hair, AND an Underdog reference into one paragraph, AND you got your dress wet!

Yeah...where was I?  As I mentioned in my dislike section, I have ADHD and it's hard to focus on just one thing for any length of time.  My closest friends get me, but some of the other dolls think I'm just being obnoxious for the delight of it.  I'm not, I promise!  I just...can't control it sometimes.  Thank goodness for Ritalin...and coffee.  Coffee doesn't always help folks with ADHD, but it works for me and I am very glad.  My friends all thought I was nuts drinking coffee at my age, but when I explained it to them they were more understanding.  Sometimes I drink soda pop too, and I giggle when the Moon Girl watches me with big, sad eyes.  LOL, she covets Coca-cola!

In other news, everyone thought Justine-Marie was the resident Disney freak, but I'm almost as bad.  While Justine-Marie is an all-around Disney fan, I have a special fondness for Frozen.  I don't have a big collection of stuff like Justine-Marie does, but I've got friends that are far more important than stuff.  I've gotten close to Anna, one of the Animators dolls, because of my love for Frozen, and because she's just a sweet kid.

We make a good pair since we both love green, and because Anna is kind to animals.  She and my cat Duchess are quite fond of each other.  Don't let Duchess's grumpy expression fool you; like Tardar Sauce, she looks cross, but she's very sweet.

Since Anna is friends with Briar Rose and the Dutch girl Robina I became their friend by default.  We have a good time together.

Okay, it doesn't look like we have fun together, but we do.  We were all trying to hold up against a fairly stiff breeze in that picture.  Indeed, I think Briar Rose was losing that battle when Moon punched the button!  Yes, fall is here, fall is here...and that means that Anna, Lark and I will soon have to wear...dare I say it?  We'll have to wear...shoes.  Oh well, what cannot be cured must be endured, as the Moon Girl likes to say.

Catch ya on the flip side,
Llewellyn Martin

AG Spotlight: Marina Gutierrez

I'm the first hazel-eyed girl in the bunch...but not the last!

FULL NAME:  Marina Isabella Gutierrez

WHERE I GOT MY NAME:  I just looked like a Marina, the Moon Girl says.

JUST LIKE YOU NUMBER:  #89

HOMETOWN:  Galveston, Texas

HEAD MOLD:  Josefina

HAIR COLOR:  Medium brown with blue and green highlights

EYE COLOR:  Hazel

FAVORITE COLORS:  Blue, green, and purple

THINGS I LIKE:  Skateboarding, swimming, beachcombing after storms, drawing with chalk, painting, street art and art in general, sunrises and sunsets (especially the ones over Matagorda Bay), camouflage anything, ponchos, growing roses

THINGS I DISLIKE:  Peer pressure, bullies, people who walk at a snail's pace on sidewalks (or in school hallways), hurricanes (Ike was no picnic, kiddies)

*Side note from the Moon Girl:  It was no picnic here either!  The remnants of Hurricane Ike were strong enuff to knock out the power here in Malden, and I almost got clobbered on the head by a falling tree limb.  If I'd been one step faster that limb would have...well, it wouldn't have killed me, but it might've seriously injured me.

MY CHOICE OF MUSIC:  Bjork and Glen Campbell.  How's that for an odd couple!

BEST FRIENDS:  Kailey and Joss due to their shared love of beachcombing.  Luciana also gets Brownie points for knowing Spanish.  Z and I also get on pretty well, since photography and painting have a few similarities.  They have some important differences too, but they're similar enough that Z and I sometimes compare notes.  I also like to hang out with Reagan O'Connor sometimes, just for the heckuvit.

SOMEONE I'D RATHER AVOID:  I get along pretty well with everyone, actually.  I have a bit of an artistic rivalry with Amazing Maddie, but it's a friendly rivalry.

WHERE I CAME FROM:  Another eBay find!

ABOUT ME:  Unlike Lark, who came before me, and Llewellyn, who will come next week, I'm not a custom job.  My trippy hair is factory-original...or the color is.  The Moon Girl modified my original style a bit.  I love the way it mixes the colors.
It reminds me of the colors in Monet's water lily paintings, and I think that may be why I became interested in art.  Most of my friends put a heavy emphasis on auditory arts, but I'm more interested in the visual aspect.  Here are my weapons of mass creation.
I love to draw and paint, usually animals or landscapes or bizarre abstract ideas.  Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte are my favorite artists (they're both surrealists).  I'm not terribly picky, though; the only painter I'm not a huge fan of is Picasso, and even then I respect the time it must've taken to get those cubist pieces right.  Ahem...I apologize for going off on a tangent.  Silver Bird has her tornadoes, Luciana has that British guy in the spinning blue police box, and I have my artists...and my own art.  Hold still, Silver Bird!  Still-lives are hard enough, but when my subjects are moving it's another story.
Funny, I don't recall Silver Bird being the dancing type!  I guess being a sock hopper for Halloween will bring out your inner Fred Astaire.  I plan on being a mermaid, if the Moon Girl can find the costume in time.

*Side note from the Moon Girl:  I'll try my best!  Adric got fixed this week and most of my paycheck went towards that.

No worries!  I tell y'all, I don't hate cotton fields, but I do miss Matagorda Bay!  This kind of sand is a far cry from the sand on the beach!  It's so hard I can stand on it with no problems.
I don't miss the hurricanes, though.  My thoughts and prayers are with the folks still digging out of Hurricane Ian's aftermath.  As for us, as recently as Luciana's spotlight it was hot with fairly frequent rainstorms, and now it's cool and dry.  We haven't had a drop of rain in almost a month, and none forecast for over a week, or so Silver Bird has told me (she and Rita Cheryl keep track of the weather).  That's been good for the cotton, as y'all can see.
Take it all in, Marina.  You can draw from memory.  Cotton makes a wonderful subject for a pencil drawing.  And now that I stop to think of it, the sunsets here are well worth painting.
Beautiful as that view may be, my heart will always be in Galveston.  Hmmm...Silver Bird is from Texas too.  I wonder if she feels the same way about Wichita Falls?

Happy birthday, Moon Girl!

Love,
Marina Gutierrez

AG Spotlight: Lark Anderson

How many people have owned me now???  Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter.  I'm here now, hopefully in my forever home.

FULL NAME:  Lark Chloe Anderson

NICKNAME:  Marina and Luciana call me "Alondra," which means "lark" in Spanish.

WHERE I GOT MY NAME:  I came with the name "Lark."  My middle name is the same as my old owner's first name.

BIRTHDAY:  February 19th

CUSTOMIZED FROM:  I can't remember.  I don't even remember if my eyes are original.

HOMETOWN:  Calgary, Alberta, Canada

HEAD MOLD:  Classic

HAIR COLOR:  Electric blue

EYE COLOR:  Light blue

OTHER DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:  Purple eyebrows and enhanced lips

FAVORITE COLORS:  Blue and anything that coordinates (or contrasts) with blue

THINGS I LIKE:  Candles, Crocs (when I bother with shoes at all), rainbows, the smell of rain, and rain in general, earthing, pizza, milk tea and bubble tea, poutine, food in general, snow and the accompanying winter sports, adventure, tie-dyed anything, cryptozoology and the paranormal, visiting graveyards (not always to look at orbs, LOL), any of Calgary's sports teams

THINGS I DISLIKE:  Stepping on something sharp (goathead seeds are the bane of my existence), winter unless there's snow (it ALWAYS snowed in Calgary), unsweet tea, any of Edmonton's sports teams

MY CHOICE OF MUSIC:  eighties New Wave, particularly Talking Heads

BEST FRIENDS:  Marina, Llewellyn, and Luciana, since they all have trippy hair.  Airy keeps my hair dye in stock, so I appreciate her too.  Marina and Luciana are also the ones who gave me my nickname, which I love.  I also like to ski and snowshoe with Justine-Marie; when you're from Canada you learn to love winter sports, even if you might hate winter.

SOMEONE I'D RATHER AVOID:  Luciana's pet Tribble tried to swallow my arm once.  Tribbles don't have teeth so it didn't hurt, but my arm was all slimy afterwards so I keep a respectful distance from Goldie.  Word of advice:  if a Tribble tries to swallow your arm, tickle its gullet.  Goldie let me go pretty quickly.

Side note from Luciana:  It was your leather jacket that Goldie wanted.  Tribbles aren't big on eating humans, but leather is another story.  As Alondra noted, tickling Goldie's gullet proved effective, and jacket, arm, and Tribble all came out unscathed.

HOW I CAME HERE:  Where else but eBay?  When the Moon Girl heard that Chloe was giving up the dolly hobby she found me on eBay.  The bidding got pretty contentious, but she won me and I'm here now.

ABOUT ME:  I can't help feeling a little sad that Chloe wanted to part with me, but life in Casa del Luna has been pleasant enough.  A little hot at times, but pleasant enough.  We all are thankful for the cooler air that's been moving in, though I can't say that I'm looking forward to winter.  I don't mind the leaves, though.  Courtney and I like to play in these together.

The Moon Girl says she never has learned what kind of tree this is, but she jokingly calls it "Horus" because it has a knothole on it that looks like an eye.  Notice that the knothole currently has two cicada husks.

Every year Horus is the first to drop it's leaves, and inevitably the leaves just dry up and fall off without turning colors.  They're still fun to play in...holy crap, call off your dog, Court!

*Side note from Courtney:  He's not my dog, he's Justine-Marie's.  Why he always follows me, I'll never know.  He won't bite.

Maybe not, but his nails are sharp!  Yeesh...regarding specifics about myself, I'm asexual and a polytheistic Druid.  Polytheistic means many gods and goddesses, of course, and some of us celebrate Samhein instead of/in addition to Halloween (I'm in the "in addition" club; I love me some Halloween!).  Care to loan me Garnet, Rilla Louise?  I need a sacrifice.

*Side note from Rilla Louise:  Wait a minute...SAY WHAT???

LOL, just kidding!  Modern Druids don't need to sacrifice animals.  We do have a bonfire, though, and normally we'd be allowed to take some back home with us.  Too bad that the Moon Girl won't actually let me build a fire.  Oh well, there's more to Druidism than Samhein and fire, but I don't want to bore everyone too much.

Let's see, what else...oh, my favorite thing to do in my spare time is visit the local cemeteries (the Moon Girl and her mother also do this; they call it "graveyard hoppin'").  There are at least five graveyards within a four-mile radius of the Moon House, more if one extends that radius a mile or so.  Local legend says that the large one to the west on Crowley's Ridge has a resident ghost, but the Moon Girl says she thinks Stevens Chapel Cemetery is the one that's haunted.

Stevens Chapel Cemetery is an old one, located about a mile north of the airfield.  A lot of the folks buried here were young, cut down by tuberculosis or diphtheria or appendicitis, or a runaway wagon in this poor chap's case.  Shows us all how far medicine has come in the past hundred years, though appendicitis is still dangerous.  Anyway, the Moon Girl says you've gotta know the area fairly well if you want to find this cemetery, as it's located away from the main highways in the area (the others are fairly close to Malden's main drag).  You gotta admit that this looks like your stereotypical haunted cemetery, particularly the part with the fence around it!

Notice that I am not alone on this particular jaunt.  Z wanted to come along too, for obvious reasons.

And Rita Cheryl tagged along too, because the Moon Girl drags her everywhere.  We're all pretty fond of Rita Cheryl's new dress!  Notice the cotton in the back.  It's a beautiful crop, but whew, does that defoliant stink!

This stone is our favorite; the Moon Girl says she's never seen one cut through like this.  See?  It's made out of metal, and the letters are cut out so you can see the grass through it.  You can also see the Moon Girl's shadow!

Z had to get in on the action too, of course.  It's not a very big marker, about the height of our My Twinn friends.

Moon discovered that that particular stone doesn't have a Find a Grave entry, so she left some flowers after taking us away.  She says that after all this she doesn't want to go out there alone again.  I can't say that I blame her; at first it was great, traipsing around a graveyard on a nice fall evening, but the longer we were there the more unsafe I felt.  As an aside, the land is sandy around here, so it's not uncommon to find wild cactus growing here or there.  We didn't see any on this particular outing, but Z did fall into a patch of sticker burrs.  Yikes!  Next time I come out here I'll...dare I say it?  I'll make myself wear shoes.

The people of Florida are in my thoughts tonight.  Hurricane Ian is upon them, and as slow as he's moving they'll have to put up with this for awhile.  Stay safe out there, whether you're in Florida or not!

All of my love,
Lark Chloe Anderson

AG Spotlight: Justine-Marie Beauregard

How do you do?  I'm actually not American, but I don't guess that matters...<sniffle>...got any Kleenex?
FULL NAME:  Justine-Marie Beauregard

NICKNAME:  Ugh...my friends call me "Sneezy."

WHERE I GOT MY NAME:  The House of Hayward again, LOL.  Doremi is named after the child, and I'm named after Justin and Marie themselves.

CUSTOMIZED FROM:  I used to be a Marie-Grace Gardner doll.  Why someone wanted to rip off my wig and give me new eyes and paint before throwing me on eBay, I'll never know.  My current eyes belonged to a Caroline Abbott doll.

*Side note from the Moon Girl:  I wonder who got Marie-Grace's eyes?  I wonder what happened to the eyeless Caroline?

HOMETOWN:  Bournemouth, Hampshire, England

HEAD MOLD:  Marie-Grace

HAIR COLOR:  Light brown with blonde highlights

EYE COLOR:  Blue-green

OTHER DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:  A lot of freckles and enhanced lips

FAVORITE COLORS:  Mint green, yellow, and periwinkle

THINGS I LIKE:  Fancy clothes, cheerleading, Disney anything, ice cream, skiing and winter sports in general, traveling and exploring, horseback riding, hair bows (a must-have for anyone with a side part), Minnie Mouse ears,

THINGS I DISLIKE:  My allergies are my main peeve.

MY CHOICE OF MUSIC:  INXS and the Black Keys are my favorite bands.  "What You Need" and "Gold on the Ceiling" are my favorite songs.

PETS:  Piglet, a blue French bulldog, Argos, my old Bouvier des Flandres, and Domino, a horse.  Right now I only have a decent picture of me with Domino.
BEST FRIENDS:  Doremi, Zoe, and Sadie.  I'm on the cheerleading team with Zoe and the Dodo (and Rita Cheryl), and I enjoy playing dress-up with Zoe and Sadie.  Even I will admit that Doremi is incredibly difficult at times, but for some reason she'll listen to me if I tell her to relax.  Kailey and I have agreed to swap boogie boarding and skiing lessons, so we've gotten quite thick.  I also enjoy posing for pictures with Luciana and listening to Astro-Luci talk, though I can't tell the First Doctor from the Fiftieth.  Lastly, I sometimes hang out with Courtney, partly because she and Luciana are together a lot and partly because Courtney likes Argos.

*Side note from the Moon Girl:  We're not quite to fifty Doctors yet, Justine-Marie!  We're far from it, in fact.

If you say so, Moon Girl.  Where was I?

SOMEONE I'D RATHER AVOID:  I know Rita Cheryl feels bad for her past mistakes, and I know she'd like to make it right, but when I reach out to her she just freezes up and ignores me.  It makes me sad, but I figure if I'm just patient she'll thaw out.  Rilla Louise is the same way, but for some reason she wants me to be the buffer between her and Rita Cheryl.  I don't believe that will work, Rill.  Not yet, anyway.

HOW I GOT HERE:  eBay again!  Don't we all come from eBay!  In my case the Moon Girl wanted a bald doll so she could play with wigs, but when she fitted my current wig on it proved to be perfect.  I haven't worn another wig since...except for that time when Robyn and Leah and I all swapped wigs.  Robyn's hair color looked good on me, I thought.  I hope maybe the Moon Girl will look into a red bob for me in the future.

*Side note from the Moon Girl:  I'm on it, dolly child!

ABOUT ME:  I'm the gang's little rich girl; indeed, whenever I'm around Z she sings Hall and Oates's "Rich Girl."  I do NOT rely on the old man's money, thank you too much!  LOL, Z loves to tease, but I know she doesn't mean anything by it.  Though I try not to make a big deal of being wealthy, sometimes telling the truth makes people jealous...kinda like Molly's classmate Alison Hargate.  I try to compensate for this by being warm, friendly, and accepting to the friends I've made, and as a result I think I've made quite a few friends.  Doremi is my best friend; we have sort of a Cleo De Nile/Ghoulia Yelps dynamic.  She's the dominant one (or so she thinks), but I know how to rein her in.
Doremi has her flaws; indeed, most of the dolls in Casa del Luna don't like her because she's so unkind to her brother Justin.  I don't like that either, but instead of shunning Doremi I try to see her good side.  She does have a good side, as a great many of us do, but for some reason she...hides it.  I don't know what she's afraid of.  I just try to be patient with her, as I do with Rita Cheryl.  Rita Cheryl's main vendetta was directed against me myself, as she and Doremi were once very close.  When I came to Casa del Luna Doremi welcomed me and Rita Cheryl panicked, fearing she'd lose her only close friend.  Unfortunately her resulting hostility towards me ended up alienating Doremi instead.  I've long since forgiven Rita Cheryl, and I can tell that she wants to smoothen things over but is afraid.  When she's ready to talk things over with me I'm willing to listen.

Regarding my own "nitty-gritties," as the Moon Girl would call them, I'm allergic to shellfish, dust, pollen, and furry animals.  Shellfish make me deathly ill (I have to carry an epi-pen), and everything else makes me sneeze.  But I love animals, so I put up with it.  I even have a horse to ride.  See?
NEVER wear sandals around horses!!!  I did it just now, but that's because I'm a complete pillock.  In other news, I collect Disney paraphernalia and a few dolls; Finding Nemo is my favorite Disney movie, since Dori reminds me of Doremi...or the good side of Doremi, anyway.  I also love Mulan, and I even have her as a doll.
Mulan's hairstyle looks more like her mother's in this case; in the movie Mulan either wore her hair short and tied up or long and loose...but who's paying that close of attention?  I also have Elsa, who has become fast friends with my Marie-Grace doll.
I used to be a Marie-Grace doll myself, I'm told, but like Denise (an ex-Samantha) I have no memory of that.  Well...maybe I do.  I have some hazy memories of a big city and of an illness, but that's about all.  Oh yes, and Argos.
A good pet is unforgettable, and Argos is a good pet.  I just hope he'll get along with Piglet.  Argos is significantly bigger than Piglet, but he's gentle so there probably won't be too many problems.  Kailey, fetch Sandy and we'll see which of our dogs is the larger one!
Looks like Argos is the bigger one, but it also looks like he and Sandy will get along fine.  If Argos has trouble with any pets around here it'll likely be with Amanda Faraday's cat Jeeves.  Jeeves likes to wrestle with puppy dogs, and sometimes he gets a little too free with his claws!

Let's see, what else, what else?  I'm friends with "the infamous Doremi," as a friend of the Moon Girl's put it, and I also am quite thick with Luciana.  The relationship I have with Luciana is sort of an "opposites attract" thing.  She's the scientist and the sci-fi fan, while I like Disney princesses and girly stuff.  But strangely enough, we get along.  We like to take pictures together, and we've even got hats that coordinate.
We share a love for sparkly things and 1920's fashion, the latter of which got easier after Claudie's introduction last month.  So I guess I'm...kinda shallow compared to some of the other girls.  I just like to enjoy my life to the fullest and help my friends do the same.  It's a good life.

Happy first day of autumn,
