Feeling overwhelmed right now

This is just a quick update on my health since things are slowly but surely on the move.  I have a consultation on June 24th to discuss what type of surgery I'll need.  My nurse practitioner, my mama, my boss, and my boss's second-in-command all think I need a hysterectomy, and if that's the case then I'm all for it.  I've learned (just today, in fact) that uterine fibroids can cause breathing problems, and if they go on long enuff they can cause kidney failure.  I am indeed short of breath a lot of the time, and if I lie on my back or left side for too long my kidneys start to ache.  So learning the full extent of what fibroids can do was...frightening, to say the least.

Now!  All that is well and good, but even if I do get a hysterectomy that won't fix my hip pain or the nerve damage on the left side of my body.  I still don't know what's causing any of that, and everyone around me has said something different:

*My nurse practitioner and my gynecologist want me to see a neurologist.  Gynecologist is thinking MS.
*Mama wants me to see an endocrinologist, and I'm thinking the same thing (thyroid problems run in her side of the family).
*Then I ran into another lady today who had both ankylosing spondylitis and ulcerative colitis (both autoimmune diseases), and she said that they both did a number on her whole body.  Testing for spondylitis would involve a rheumatologist, and UC would bring a gastroenterologist into the mix.

That's too damn many specialists!!!  I'm showing a few symptoms of both MS and spondylitis, but I'm not convinced of either one being the sole cause.  But either way it looks like I've got a long way to go before I get some definitive answers.

Tam, I know Ken's facing more stents so y'all are in my thoughts and prayers!

Much love,
