Ever since I brought Sasha Angela Marguerite home I've nursed a passing fondness for Sasha babies, so when this blonde, brown-eyed cutie popped up on eBay...well, y'all see what I did. I'm very fond of brown-eyed blondes but don't find them too often, and it's pretty obvious that Sasha Baby is brown-eyed.
I'm pretty sure those are Tampa printed eyes, like Sasha Angela Marguerite has.
Puddle eyes are my favorite Sasha eye variant, because they look two-toned and have the illusion of some depth. I don't know if babies ever had puddle eyes, but some of the other ones do have their own variations like sculpted eyelids and an eyebrow paint style called "quirky brow." My new doll has neither of these; see how her eye wells are flat?
No biggie, I just wanted a Sasha baby. She could've been black-haired and blue-eyed, or blonde and blue-eyed, with flat eyes or eye ridges or what have you. Despite being a baby doll Sasha Baby is 100% Sasha, complete with the sedate, somewhat blank face...
...and the long, noodly arms.
Sasha Baby can't stand on her own, of course, and she's a smidge too big to sit in Sasha's lap, but she can lay on her stomach with her head in her arms, like this.
I must say, I like Sasha dolls, but the Caucasian ones look like they've got nuclear tans, especially compared to my Casper-the-Friendly-Ghost hand.
It's just so weird to see such tan skin, especially on a doll with pale hair. Not ugly, mind y'all, just...unusual. These babies do occasionally have red hair, by the way; y'all know of old how I like red hair. But I also happen to like blonde hair and tan skin, largely because it's so unusual. In that case Sasha Baby is perfect!
My, how much things have changed since Sasha Angela Marguerite was new-to-me. It was that summer that I first began noticing my limp, but it was merely an annoyance and an inconvenience. Now I can't walk any distance with a cane. The coronavirus pandemic was in full swing then, and now it's largely just a bad memory for the most of us (unless you lost a loved one, of course). I was relatively happy to have my own home in 2020, and now I'm ready to walk away from that house and never look back. On the other hand, conditions are just as insane at home and abroad as they were in 2020, so some things haven't changed a bit. All the better for me to hold Sasha and Sasha Baby close and stick my head in the sand. Three cheers for escapism!

Your description of Sasha Baby's pale hair and tan skin makes me think of a vintage commercial I saw for Malibu Barbie, with her 'awesome tan' and 'surfer' blond hair.
