A haul for a very special doll

I've made a couple'a references to items for this doll in the past, a doll whom y'all have not met, a doll who won't make her debut until next May.  She's a big girl who requires a special size of clothes, and whenever I find something unique and affordable I grab it.  Case in point (this noisy little number came from Noriko's Dinner Table).
This cardigan is like something I would've worn at one time, when I could walk tall with my back straight and my head high, instead of one shuffling step at a time, head hunched over so I don't trip.  Mobility issues do a lot to your psychie, folks.  But I can live through my dolls.

Then there are these two shirts, one for the upcoming winter and one for warmer weather.  Again, I live through my dolls; I'd wear the shirt on the left in a heartbeat, but I doubt it would fly at work.  Both of these items came from ViridianAtelier.
I wouldn't put it past any of my cats to call someone a bitch, especially Lily.  As to the dysentery shirt, I come from a family of Oregon Trail fans, and dying of dysentery is a running gag among fans of the game.  I can't remember if my brother-in-law has the "You have died of dysentery" shirt or not!  He'd like one, I bet.

Of course no shirt is much good without bottoms, and I got a couple'a those too.  These capris came from dfd Sales, and they look like ordinary little denim capris...
...but the back pockets are embellished, so that's nice.
These leggings are more of me projecting myself onto my dolls, as I wouldn't be caught dead in leggings even though I like them.  The eBay post said this is supposed to look like a circuit board.  This came from Noriko's Dinner Table.
As a finishing touch I threw in a necklace, also from Noriko's.
She wanna pearl necklace!  LOL, this isn't the pearl necklace that ZZ Top was referring to, but it'll definitely do.

This isn't everything that I have for this doll; indeed, I've got a crate almost full of her clothes and a few accessories.  But this is the newest stuff.  So far I think I'll pair the capris with the dysentery shirt and the necklace, and the rest of it...I'll play with it and see what sort of combos I come up with.

Happy days,

  1. Those leggings are giving off Tron movie vibes, in my opinion.

  2. Great shopping spree! Though I wouldn't want to wear them myself LOL! Isn't it good dolls can get away with anything?

  3. Yep, it's nice that we can dress our dolls however we want. My dolls have much better figures than I do, as well. So why are we left hanging until May? :)

  4. I got my son one of those Oregon Trail shirts from snorgtees.com. Love that place. His says you have died of Dysentery and Velociraptors. LOL Complete with Velociraptors on the wagon. I LOVE doll clothes that are just tiny versions of human clothes. Happy Late Birthday!
